Hi, my name is Jenny, and I went to San Antonio 1. It was my first year, and I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. But once I got there I ended up having one of the best weeks of my life.  Throughout the week I made great friends, had fun, had amazing spiritual experiences, and got the comfort that I needed. One of my favorite memories happened Thursday night. After a great day full of amazing classes, a really great devotional by Brother Hinton, everybody singing the EFY Medley, and a fantastic testimony meeting, my group of girls gathered together in the lobby of the auditorium. We sang "Abide with me, ‘tis eventide" which was the perfect topper for the day. It was amazing, and one of my roommates even started crying and had to leave for a moment. The words of the song mirrored the feelings of my heart as I realized what an awesome week it had been, as well as the fact that it was about to end. I just prayed that the feelings I had at that moment would not leave. EFY is worth everything I put into it, but more importantly I gained things that I wouldn’t give away for anything in the world.

My name is Laurie.  I went to the Geneva, NY EFY session this year. It was definately amazing, as EFY always is.  My group was called the Branches of the Trees, and we all got pretty close. This year though, I really gained a greater testimony and appreciation of the power of the preisthood.  I had never thought about it before really, but you young men in this church are amazing. You are such good examples, and its so amazing to know that there are guys in the world who are living worthy to serve missions and be married in the temple.
